At Reset Your Life we use the Vianna Stibal ThetaHealing® modality to work on, and in, your belief systems and other subconscious programming. Our adaptation of Vianna's methods is closely aligned with the way in which we undertake the Emotion Code work which makes for a seamless transition with our clients. Just as in the Emotion Code where we do most of the work for you, we do not require our clients to directly enter a Theta state, undergo hypnosis or participate in any sort of regression or "reliving of past events". With your permission for us to act as your surrogate (stand in) we will do all that is necessary for you. You will have the opportunity and flexibility to participate on whatever level is right for you.
From Vianna's ThetaHealing® guidance we recognise and understand that our subconscious programming is not a simple or singular concept and that these programs exist in multiple parts of our energies. Utilising a Theta state of consciousness, we are able to access and work with all these parts of your energies efficiently and effectively.
In the first stage of our belief work we will focus on removing the non- serving and negative held beliefs and programs. Once non- serving programs are removed, we can then look to the forward vision for your life and where necessary, install any missing beliefs or programs that reinforce and serve that vision.....
Negative subconscious programming in the areas of our thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and ego can profoundly impact our lives, often in subtle but pervasive ways. When our thoughts are dominated by negativity, we tend to adopt a pessimistic outlook, which can limit our potential and diminish our sense of hope and possibility. Beliefs shaped by negative programming can lead to self-doubt and low self-esteem, making it difficult to pursue goals and embrace opportunities. This, in turn, influences our behavior, leading to self-sabotaging actions and reinforcing a cycle of negativity. Additionally, an ego driven by negative programming may become overly defensive or excessively critical, straining relationships and hindering personal growth. Collectively, these factors can create a self-fulfilling prophecy, where negative expectations manifest as reality, perpetuating a cycle of unhappiness and underachievement.
It is normal to wonder where or how all of our negative programming has become instilled within us. Often, these patterns are rooted in our early experiences and interactions with family, peers, and society. Negative feedback from parents or authority figures, bullying or rejection from peers, and societal messages that undermine our worth can all contribute to the development of harmful thought patterns, limiting beliefs, and destructive behaviors. Additionally, media portrayals and cultural norms can reinforce these negative scripts, making them deeply embedded in our subconscious.
Recognising the existence of our negative programming is a crucial step in dismantling these patterns. This awareness allows us to identify the specific thoughts and beliefs that hold us back. As we work to declutter and reorganise our minds with only positive programs and supportive beliefs, we can gradually transform our behavior, enhance our self-esteem, and ultimately lead more fulfilling lives.
You may or may not have thought about that future vision or spent any time defining what it is. Many people don’t recognise that they are “just going through the motions” on a daily basis. This can be a result of modern life pressures, distractions, responsibilities and societies built up superficial expectations.
Taking time to consider what it is that we actually want out of life and setting our compass for that direction will help to align the inner self with the outer goings on and bring greater harmony between the 2.
These pieces that make up our future vision are not specific "goals" as such, rather it is setting direction and clarifying a vision that is true and in harmony with your individual self. No point setting goals that are not aligned with your true self - these would be extremely hard to achieve....
Defining a future vision can be especially important for those people who have come through a major life change or are seeking and struggling with making that life change. Very often people can find themselves without direction or they are held in place by an out of date vision, a societal vision, the comfort of past familiarity or a powerful ego that refuses to let go. Simply trying to move away from or move on from the past is generally an unwinnable, relentless, sometimes confusing, emotional and draining battle without a new and more powerful vision to move towards.
Moving towards something is definable, you will know when you get there.
Moving away from something is difficult to quantify - you are never sure if you have moved far enough away and whether that distance was even in the right direction.
So we understand that major change is hard and it's challenging and it's not always what other people want us to do because if you change it challenges them as well. To succeed we must let a lot of these things go. This is about rebirth, and the really hard bit is letting those non serving attributes of the past die off. When we do this though, we remove obstacles to freedom of choice. By recognising and addressing this hurdle we are then free to adopt a true self and a new future story, but what story?.......
The Mind Map
Where do we start, what do we need to do?
An easy way to start to identify what it is that we really want is to take key words and let thoughts around those key words flow out and onto paper. We can then focus again on the thoughts generated and look into those specific areas further (next level in). This is often called mind mapping and can be done in various ways. The best way in my experience is to start with a key word and follow the thoughts in your mind - writing each one down as you connect and extend these out from your central key word with circles or boxes around the new words and lines connecting the circles.
You may start with Health as an example and this leads you to think of exercise which leads to running which leads to a particular running challenge or destination, which then leads you to think of how much time and training this will require, which then makes you think of how to be more efficient with your time and suddenly you are writing down - spend less time on social media and paid TV! The powerful thing here is that you have found a specific reason to challenge and change a non serving behaviour - moving towards something (your true health self) and not trying to just move away from a non serving societal default behaviour.
Thinking in pictures helps as this is the language of the sub conscious, literally let your mind go to anywhere and don't try to constrain it with the limiting expectations of others or pause to think too long. Give your sub conscious this opportunity, trust it, and it will guide you towards your true self. If you would like to give this a go, and I recommend that you do, here’s a start on some key words:
The most important thing here is to stop and give some attention to this and the best way to capture it, is those words on paper and better still pictures and images. Once this is developed we can test your vision against your subconscious to see whether it is aligned with your inner self and if so ensure that this vision is installed as a belief into your belief systems.
The difference here to the earlier party of the belief work is not a focus on an existing belief that is not serving you, this is about installing supporting positive beliefs for your vision!
You can then let your own belief systems be your 24/7 coach ....
There is a lot of talk these days about coaching in all sorts of areas and of course there are specific areas that are not common knowledge such as someone looking to start a specific new business or pursue some sort of elite level of physical achievement, but in the main its just about being the best we can be in our relationships, work and health.
When we align our true self with our belief systems and subconscious programs we are no longer constantly in a battle of conscious vs subconscious. We remove the negative forces and give precedence to our positive selves.
When aligned, we don't need coaching to achieve what our beliefs and subconscious programs are constantly monitoring and striving to achieve already.......we can just be "our inner selves".
For a deeper look into the importance of practicing self awareness, Tasha talks to us about some of the pitfalls when we approach this the wrong way and she clues us into the the right way to to practice self awareness....the importance of asking What not Why. "Self-awareness has countless proven benefits -- stronger relationships, higher performance, more effective leadership. Sounds pretty great, right? Here’s the bad news: 95% of people think that they’re self-aware, but only 10-15% actually are! Luckily, Tasha Eurich has a simple solution that will instantly improve your self-awareness."
The Light Space looks at the true power of our imagination and how it is often underestimated. "We’re told to stop daydreaming and live int he “real world” from a young age, without realising this entire world is filled with creations that were once nothing more than a thought in someones head."
Jeremy speaks to the power of the mind, the power of the subconscious and the passive changes to our subconscious mind and our health that we accept without question as we move around our world and through our life. He also highlights the importance of monitoring and choosing our thoughts and how our thoughts and not the situation actually cause us to feel things like fear and anxiety. "The average person thinks thousands of thoughts every single day. Not only are most of these thoughts the same thoughts they had yesterday, but a lot of these thoughts are dwelling on something negative in the past or fearing something that could happen in the future."
Patti brings our thoughts and images together in this visual presentation. The Power Of Hitting Rock Bottom & How To To turn your life around is an interview with Dr. Shefali Tsabury about her new book a Radical Awakening but even this interview is packed full of gems about our current unconciousness and the role of the ego:
"Throughout my years of soul-searching, meditating, and contemplating life, I’ve learned one really big lesson: we’re in control of our own experience and reality. Our mindset will dictate what we deem true and real, but as humans, our egos can creep in and blur the lines. We get lost between what we need to be our authentic selves and what society or other people say we need in order to be worthy. Unfortunately, that lie of unworthiness has seeped into many of our lives and taken away our power. Today’s guest on The Dhru Purohit Podcast, Dr. Shefali Tsabury, is here to talk about reclaiming consciousness and empowerment, especially as women in a patriarchal world."
